Glances around and catches your eyes

Mirumi glances around, and its upward gaze might meet yours unexpectedly before shyly turning away. We designed Mirumi to gently touch your heart through such tiny, tender gestures.

A touch sensor in Mirumi’s head detects patting, prompting adorable reactions randomly chosen by our special algorithm.

When it hears a sound or voice, Mirumi turns its head, showing interest and curiosity.

Mirumi makes spontaneous movements even when nothing is happening, adding charm and lifelike behavior.

Mirumi is designed to wrap its arms around straps and poles (including skinny ones) securely latching onto bags and many other objects.

⚫︎ Sensors, chip, and motors in action

Mirumi “feels”  through a touch sensor in its head and “hears” through two sound sensors in its body. These signals pass through an onboard IC chip, allowing Mirumi to generate countless natural-feeling reactions, which are brought to life by servo motors.

Mirumi’s magic comes from a special algorithm that randomizes its responses, giving them a natural, lifelike feel. This was only possible because of Yukai Engineering’s deep knowledge and experience in developing robots that people form emotional connections with.

The battery is rechargeable using a Type-C cable.
Mirumi shakes its head tiredly when battery is low.
When charging is complete and the plug is removed, it lifts its head energetically, as if saying, “All set and ready!”

You’ll never get tired of interacting with Mirumi—its countless gestures always feel new. A simple touch can prompt it to turn or tilt its head, or nod in multiple ways, expressing subtle emotions like excitement, shyness, and hesitation. These varies gestures keep Mirumi’s behavior fresh, charming, and full of unexpected delight.

Crafted from Japanese materials in original colors, Mirumi has a soft, plush feel you’ll want to touch. Its bag-friendly size and charming silhouette make it stand out and attract glances naturally.

Slightly more compact than the prototype, Mirumi now fits perfectly in both hands.

The material used for Mirumi’s arms balance two opposing needs: ease of attachment and a secure hold. They are flexible enough to enable effortless opening and closing, yet firm enough to grip even thin straps securely.
